Did you know that in 2007, nearly 90 percent of LGBT youth reported being verbally harassed in the last year because of their sexual orientation? These students are often the targets of bullying, a huge problem today in America’s schools. This is why we need poltical leaders like Ken Mehlman who, as a Republican, is a supporter of LGBT rights.
