There are millions of students, teachers, parents, principals, and education advocates in the United States. Such a large group of people breeds a diverse set of beliefs regarding what is best for the American school system. Diane Ravitch is one person who has been involved with education for a long time. She’s a historian of education, a researcher, and an education policy analyst, and has stood on both sides of the No Child Left Behind debate (or debacle?).
Ravitch has evolved as an education advocate, and perhaps it’s that fact which makes her such a valuable and intelligent resource. She has worked with presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, keeps a regular blog, has authored more than 20 books.
So what is it, exactly, that makes Diane Ravitch tick? Check out her full profile to find out.
